The LGU and RHU San Mateo celebrated the 14th National Dental Health Month on February 13, 2018 at the New Community Center with the theme “Ngipin ay alagaan mula sa sinapupunan para sa magandang ngiti hanggang katandaan”. The event started with a motorcade around the town proper and was concluded with a short program at the NCC. SB Members Atty. Louella Marie R. Agcaoili, Agosto B. Gamboa and Dr. Harold C. Lintao graced the program by delivering inspiring messages for the young participants who were all from the Day Care Centers of San Mateo. Provincial Health Office Supervising Dentist Dr. Arsen C. Benoza was also present together with 12 other dentists from the different municipalities of Isabela. RHU San Mateo’s very own Dr. Rolly J. Gadiano led the awarding of 90 Orally Fit Children. Finally, all the dentists performed Fluoride application and distributed toothbrushes and toothpaste to all 680 kids.

A prelude to the event was held last December 6, 2017 at Old Centro 1 dubbed as “Orally Fit Child Campaign” wherein 12 children had undergone Dental Restoration (Pasta) while 15 children had Fluoride application. This campaign aimed to increase the number of orally fit children in the municipality.
